Skeksis – The Dark Crystal

Created in tribute to the Jim Henson/Frank Oz fantasy film “The Dark Crystal,” here’s one of those hideous Skeksis, a scarcely seen resin model produced some 20 years ago, complete, unbuilt, and ready to render your way.

Surely a highly limited edition, the Skeksis is a well detailed rendition of the evil fiend, that’s cleanly cast in off-white resin (yellowing a bit with age) requiring only slight prep prior to assembly. The head and both hands are cast solid, and the main body section is cast somewhat hollow – a sturdy casting, but not too heavy.

It’s a 1/6 scale figure, standing 10 ½” tall x 8 ½” wide x 5 ½” deep when built.

It’s surely great fun to paint, or even customize for added impact on display. Long lost in the garage kit graveyard, this nasty creature kit is complete, unbuilt, and patiently awaits a proper paintbrush to bring him to life.
