“Reptilicus”

It’s the armor-plated dragon who spits vile green acid in the 1962 B-movie, “Reptilicus.”

Originally produced by Monster Fun! of Canada back in 1992, this is the reissued resin kit by Alchemy Works of Texas from 1994. Repilicus is cast in solid white resin that are virtually flawless, with even the thin, delicate wings completely intact. Alchemy also supply six wooden toothpicks (double the amount needed) to create the beast’s six teeth.

When assembled, it’s one cool kit (as can be seen in the painted model photos posted here), measuring approx. 6 1/2″ tall x 8” wide x 6 1/2” deep.

Unlike many other Monster Fun! models, Reptilicus seems to have been long retired, as the kit hasn’t been offered by Alchemy Works in many years.
