Martian “War of the Worlds”

This classic kit was produced by figure kit enthusiast, Lee Staton of Icarus Designs way back in 1989. The Martian is based on George Pal’s 1953 film, “War of the Worlds.” Also included is an optional nameplate not issued with the original model.

Icarus’ alien invader is an accurate and well posed rendition of its movie counterpart that fits right in with your Aurora kit collection, or displays proudly on its own. Cleanly cast in solid off-white resin, the Martian is finely finished in film accurate colors with a realistic high gloss tri-eye.

He stands 7 3/4″ tall x 6″ wide x 6″ deep, including its rustic barnwood base. A true classic from a bygone era, and one rare resin model from the dawn of the hobby.
