Ann Darrow looks up in terror at the Ape God of Skull Island! It’s “The Girl in the Hairy Paw,” a long lost resin model tribute to Fay Wray sculpted by garage kit veteran, Joe Laudati.

Laudati’s lady was created back in 1994 as an independent garage kit release, with less than 20 castings ever produced. Because so few were cast, Laudati authorized a reissue of his classic kit once again. Here is his Fay Wray tribute newly retooled from Laudati’s original sculpture.

Flawlessly cast in three parts of solid gray resin, the model assembles seamlessly in moments, with no prep required prior to painting. And look how great the piece looks when painted.

Ann’s a 1/6 scale lady, measuring approx. 7″ tall x 7″ wide x 4 ½” deep when seated in Kong’s palm. One of the hobby’s legendary early works, resurrected better than ever.
