Kandaharian Demon “Evil Dead”

Here’s about the finest model of The Evil Dead ever produced: The Kandandaharian Demon by KDM, and one outstanding early effort by renowned sculptor, William Paquet.

It features a 13″ tall Demon that’s dynamically posed, wickedly detailed, and equally as horrifying as his movie counterpart. The Demon is supported by a 12″ wide x 9 1/2″ deep display base patterned after the wooden cabin floor seen in the film. Bursting through the chained-shut trap door in the floor is Henrietta, another Sumerian Demon about to be unleashed.

There’s also a miniature Necronomicon book, and an optional second head for the Demon: one with the entire upper half of its head chopped right off, exposing a gory mass of brain, bone, and tissue. As an added bonus, there’s a long-haired Demon head that wasn’t typically included in KDM’s model, but given to select customers at live shows and conventions by Dennis DeCenzo, KDM’s owner.

All parts are cleanly cast in solid resin, except both the upper and lower body sections are partially hollow. Also supplied is a 13″ length of miniature plastic chain and metal ring wire to bind Henrietta within the trap door.

Complete and unbuilt, it’s packed in KDM’s original box, which is rough after 32 years, with a few bends to the cardboard and a large chunk of the cover art ripped away (although most of Rich Hilliard’s colorful art still remains). Super rare today!
