The Fly & Lab Base Micro Mania Monster

GEO’s Micro Mania were a series of mini figures sculpted ‘military scale’ (120mm tall), and packaged in clear polybags with header cards attached. Each came with a 2” wide circular base, and many characters also had companion kits (sold separately) which were in-scale thematic environment display bases.

The Fly set is from 1997, both brand new in the polybags. The model was crisply sculpted by Joe Simon, who packed a lot of tight detail into both the figure and his mad lab. It’s cleanly cast in solid off-white resin, except the Fly’s arms which are cast in white metal.

The Fly himself stands 3 ½” tall and 4” atop his laboratory base, which is 4 ½” wide x 3 ¼” deep. Rare today – out of production for over 25 years.
